The First Hope Program is a assistance plan especially developed to meet the needs of our community children, prenatal through age 5.  This program is very specific to meeting the needs of those individuals and their families through providing much needed resources. Program qualifications are listed below:

Who is this program for?
This program is for low-income families with children prenatal-age 5 years who live in the Central Valley of San Bernardino County. Proof of residency is required.

What are the requirements for families with children?

•Self-certification of financial need.(Show you are receiving benefits from a state or county assistance program, WIC, Medi-Cal, TANF, Healthy Families, SSI, State Disability)

• Proof of paternity/guardianship. (Birth certificate, Immunization Records)

•Have a vehicle and a working safety belt (lap and shoulder belt required for booster seats) )Requirement for car seat program only.

•Attend a 30 minute class in the area of assistance requested: (Car Seat Safety, School Registration or The Importance of Walking Shoes)

•One assistance voucher per family/per program.

• One time assistance.

• Other requirements specific to a particular program will be given as needed.

• All clients must have an appointment to receive services. (Please call  Monday-Thursday 9 AM-2 PM)
